Why Canada Central Exists

The Canadian Government generates vast amounts of data through debates, committees, bills, and parliamentary proceedings. While this information is public, it is very challenging for citizens to form a comprehensive picture.

Our mission is to transform this data into objective metrics that help Canadians make good decisions based on evidence and how their elected representatives participate in governance.

Our Principles

Data-Informed

We believe that good decisions are well-informed. Our platform empowers Canadians with the tools they need to objectively understand parliamentary proceedings.

Open Access

We believe that transparency leads to accountability. Our platform democratizes evidence-based studies for Canadians without gate keeping.

Non-Partisan

We believe that knowledge should be obtained free of ideology. Our platform monitors government broadly and provides information without political influence.
